Clippings, cards, and correspondence related to Finklestein's 50th anniversary as an employee of the City of Newark, as well as his retirement. Both events occurred in 1967.

In addition to personal correspondence and papers, the collection reflects the breadth of the Hendersons’
interests with materials on engineering, the preservation of their house, and many organizations with which
they were involved.

This collection consists of various materials resulting from Yoland Skeete-Laessig’s work on the book “When Newark Had a Chinatown: My Personal Journey”, as well as her fight to save the historical area of Chinatown from being redeveloped as an arena. There is also some material from her career as one of the founders of the art gallery Sumei Multidisciplinary Arts Cente.

Consists of oral history related notes, forms, transcripts, cassettes of various types, and CDs with interviews of members of Newark’s Greek families. The interviews were conducted by Angelique Lampros and Peter Markos in preparation for the 2002-2003 exhibition at Newark Public Library. Excerpts from the interviews were incorporated into the exhibition. This series consists of four subseries.
A Brief Note on Newark Evening News and Newark Public Library , 2003
Many of these records are reports, either annual or monthly ones, but acquisitions lists are also included, along with materials on “Art in Industry” (a special project dated from the 1930s),information on certification, statistics, press releases, and other such information.

A Century of Service, 1989
This small collection on the History of the Newark Public Library consists mostly of secondary articles and essay written by various staff members. Of particular interest is the thesis by Julia Sabine on the “Antecedents of the Newark Public Library” (1946), along with her other writings from the 1970s. A history celebrating the 100th anniversary in 1989 is also included, as well as the exhibition labels for the exhibition on the 125th anniversary in 2014.
